While singer Chris Brown is certain he has everything under control, his staff is not so convinced.  In fact, recent reports from former employees allege that Brown was commonly found passed out on his couch after binges of MDMA and cocaine and afterward sipping lean to offset the comedown.  The former employee says that Brown had security guards who stayed up late to keep tabs on Brown’s pulse.

Chris Brown responded via social media insisting that he is just fine. He posted on Instagram:

“I’m tired of reading about some sh– soon as I’ve got something popping,” he wrote on Instagram. “Soon as I want to promote a tour, a party, a f—ing album, anything, y’all bring up something.”

The former employee alleges otherwise:

“There is always someone who wants to take care of Chris Brown,” a former employee tells Billboard. “For some reason, Team Breezy fans are still strong and still behind him.”

The former employee believes Brown’s behavior is related to unresolved regrets. This includes his highly publicized assaults on his ex-girlfriends, including singer Rihanna. The former employee believes Brown is on the way to hitting rock-bottom.

“He doesn’t know how to deal with the sins of the past,” the source continued. “It’s always someone else’s fault. He becomes the victim. And I think he tries to numb whatever he is feeling.”

In the past, Brown was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. However, rumors state he has stopped taking his medication in favor of self-medication. A string of high publicized incidents suggests that Brown struggles with an anger issue. Aside from his abuse case with Rihanna, Brown has been accused of assaulting his manager Michael Guirguis. Another ex-girlfriend, Karrueche, filed a restraining order stating that Brown physically abused her and made death threats to her.

The singer is not without temptation. There are a number of women on twitter who regular commend Chris brown saying they would still date the singer despite his history of aggression and abuse. Brown defends these accusations on his Instagram post:  “My weed and my work. That’s all I need.”

Over the past few years, Brown’s reputation has continued to tarnish. From superstar to tabloid obsession, he has made news for a variety of unflattering reasons. For one, his 500,000 Lamborghini was found abandoned on Coldwater Canyon in Beverly Hills. Rumors circulated that t was demolished in a high-speed crash. Then, of course, there is the recent restraining order by Karrueche Tran who says she fears her life if the restraining order is not passed.  She claimed Brown has assaulted her and threatened to kill her.

Still, Brown insists he is not close to reaching any sort of bottom. Brown remains a fairly commercial force and continues to have a presence on radio. There have been consequences for his actions, such as having to do more features to appear on air. His career took a major dive after the Rhianna assault but he manages to push forward despite the negative attention.

Personally, it seems as though Chis Brown has been struggling with a host of issues for quite some time. It is important to remember that one does not have to reach rock bottom to seek out help.
